The Word Talks: multiverse
This word intrigues me a lot. I used to wonder a lot of things about the universe. It lead to a lot of questions, and I feel I allowed sufficient answers to be at peace with the idea of universes and multiverses.
In the past few months, upon pondering the questions 1) who and what am I? 2) where am I from? 3) did I always exist? 4) what am I doing here? ... and a few more along those lines, I stumbled upon many interviews [mostly on youtube] in which people were addressing this question.
The most common and appealing idea to me about those questions, is that we all came here willingly.
It's pretty amazing to me that the word found to contain all the letters of universe and multiverse is volunteerism. Isn't that interesting? I was pleasantly surprised to see that hit. The words sure are saying what feels good to hear!

Welcome to the Words Within!
Do words talk? Of course they do! This blog is all about what I choose to hear them say.
Which words within
Simply, I pick a word and I look for other words containing ALL the letters of that word. What's fun about that? As I was doing searches, the connections I observed between the words were so thrilling! Really...? Yes! With this blog, I'm posting some of my results and comments I had in mind while playing with the words. Why? A laugh, a chuckle, a smile, a grin, an 'imagine that!?' - I feel that's worth its weight in gold.
What it all means
Is it coincidence and/or linguistic inevitability? Is this meaningful and/or meaningless? When do words mean something to you? Evidence of the more you look for something, the more you find it? Law of attraction on display within the English alphabet? Is the law of attraction the assembler of all alphabets?! Does this guy really have that much time to think about this crap?! Yes!! AND it was pure fun - that provided enough curiosity and energy to make this blog happen.
How the idea developed
Playing simple and popular word games nudged my curiosity along. Eventually writing my own programs ended much of the suspicion about how best to play a situation. It also added to and ended a lot of the fun I used to have with some word games. Auspiciously however, a new wonder arose when looking at results. A whole different dimension of fun opened up in seeing words buried within other words.
How I found the words (Briefly)
I used the list of three to thirteen letter words found on this website:
http://www.aivazoglou.gr/wordoxdictionary.html
Next, I wrote a program with Dev-C++ to play with these word lists.
How many words did my program search
# of 4 letter words: 3901
# of 5 letter words: 8636
# of 6 letter words: 15222
# of 7 letter words: 23109
# of 8 letter words: 28414
# of 9 letter words: 24867
# of 10 letter words: 20301
# of 11 letter words: 15502
# of 12 letter words: 11355
# of 13 letter words: 7825
Some more details
Some words gave a lot of hits. Instead of posting all the results, I'll display some statistics. If you want a complete listing for any word, and/or want to sign-up for a google account and follow this blog, email me!
Degree of freedom
If a word has two es would it be fair to include finding that word within a word containing only one letter e? While I was coding this particular case of multiplicity of letters, I eventually arrived at this question. Programming this restriction was a fun exercise. After a few hours and a lot of funny coding, I realized there's no need for this exception! Why? Why you ask? It is quite simple! There is only one letter e in the source - the alphabet. This allows more words to talk, which is after all what I want!
What to expect on a post
Each post will feature one word, along with all words that can be made out of that word if any. As well as, some or all words that contain ALL the letters of the featured word. The words will be arranged in lists along the lines of (a) Wow isn't that interesting (b) OMG no way (c) WTF that's a word? (d) Imagine that!? (e) Who knew? I'll comment on some of the words. Also, officially and unofficially define some of them as I see fit.
Can you just give an example
Yes many examples ... in the blogs!
Now on with the show!! Let's see which words the letters unite :)
